About the text JAAP-JI
The text JAAP-JI is a spiritual heritage of humanity given to us about 550 years ago in the stream of Naad sound and serves the purpose that through repetition (JAPA) the soul (Ji, Jio) having heard the Truth about itself, mind, world and existence, will come out of its slumber in illusion (MAYA)
Why you should get to know JAAP-JI
Those who would like to deepen their practice of recitation and their understanding of the essence of Guru Nanak's message - I invite you on a journey of several months, during which, in addition to the 11 repetitions of each of the 40 pouri (parts) of this shabd (song, poem) at each session, we will learn the exact meaning and pronunciation of the text. I will be explaining the meaning of each phrase, often abbreviated for lack of description. There will also be occasional comparisons of the meanings of words with a similar or identical sound, but different meanings in different pouri, i.e. we will learn the richness of meaning of this ancient language, and thus the multi-layeredness of the message, almost impossible to write down in the common language as we know it today, whether it is English or Polish, etc.
Schedule and format of meetings
For me, working with this text and its vibration, sound and meaning started around 2008 and continues to this day. I have long since surpassed 1000 repetitions, it is simply now also the song of my soul.
Therefore, I invite you, I will share what I have learned, learnt and felt; I will pass on ways in which you can bring yourself closer through practice to the wisdom coming directly from the Guru.
33 meetings of 1.5-2.5 hours recorded online, are 40 pouri that vary in length, so the 14 shortest will be combined 2 by 2 in 7 meetings, and the others individually or even sometimes the longest - separated into two meetings, also of different lengths.
Schedule 1 meeting once a week, or as you have time, but optimally practice a given pouri for a minimum of a week.
