MORNING SADHANA

Get up in the morning and sing the praises of the Creator and Creation !

Sadhana

The sadhana is where the sadhu lives.

The nectar of God's love rains down in the sadhana.

In sadhana come the blessings of Simran, Conscious Awareness and Divine Understanding.

In sadhana, watch the glory of God.

In sadhana, experience the Infinite.

Sadhana is the daily meditation of a sadhu.

O Yogi! Become one with God!

Sadhana is a daily spiritual practice. It is the foundation of all spiritual endeavours.

It is a time each day for noticing those patterns of behaviour that distance us from higher consciousness, and transcending those patterns.

Sadhana is a conscious action. We consciously choose to get up, exercise our bodies and meditate. Every day is different. Every day we are different. Every 72 hours all the cells of the body completely change. Sickness comes and goes. Motivation comes and goes. But throughout this changing stream of life, through all the variations of mind and heart, we consciously choose to maintain a constant and regular practice.

Sadhana is a personal, individual spiritual contribution. It is the main tool used to work on yourself to achieve your purpose in life. Sadhana is what you do consistently to purify your own consciousness so that you can relate to the infinite within you. Before you face the world each day, tune your nervous system and tune into your highest inner self. To establish your foundation, it will take exercise, meditation and prayer.

The morning sadhana is like a cleaning of consciousness. The duration of the sadhana, 2.5 hours, is determined by the law of karma: whatever you offer, you receive back tenfold. So, by sacrificing 1/10 of a day to your higher consciousness, you will get special energy for the whole day. The time before sunrise is very favourable for meditation. There is a lot of prana during these hours, and the rhythms of the body are more geared to support physical purification than during any other part of the day.

During the so-called „Ambrosia time” (two and a half hours just before sunrise), when the sun is at an angle of sixty degrees to the Earth, the energy you put into Sadhana achieves maximum results. Your world is filled with silence. It is easier to meditate and concentrate before the hustle and bustle of the day begins.

By developing regular Sadhana you take control of your life. By developing deep Sadhana you open the door of experience. By devoting yourself to Sadhana - the fulfilment of your higher Self, your decisions and your life will become real; your life will bear the signature of your soul; your radiance will express the visible intimacy of your truth, the infinite in every moment. Immerse yourself in the joy of victory that begins each day with powerful Sadhana, and every challenge becomes an opportunity.

Practising Sadhana in a group develops group consciousness. Practising Sadhana together enhances the impact of meditation. Yogi Bhajan said that group meditation not only adds to individual effort, but multiplies it.
The Sadhana of the Aquarius Era aligns your guna, your chakras and your mind for the change of the new times. We need intuition, resilience, both physically and mentally, self-awareness and a new depth of spiritual experience that can sustain our identity in the face of global change, constant competition, information overload and environmental and ecological challenges.
This practice consists of reciting Jaap Ji, simple exercises and chanting the 7 mantras, or another mantra meditation, being pranayama with sound - Shabd Guru. It is a very special experience of connecting with the element of divinity and sacredness within us....
